Accelerating start-up growth for Morris & Piper Advisory

We partnered with Morris & Piper (M&P) Advisory to articulate their unique value proposition to the market and design a strategic growth plan to help achieve their vision for supporting communities across regional and remote Australia.

The Challenge

The team at M&P Advisory has over 30-years of experience formulating, designing, and administering government grant programs for communities across regional and remote Australia. Their consultancy supports communities seeking grant funding by advising, writing, and preparing for funding opportunities.

M&P Advisory engaged Evolve&Amplify to articulate their unique value proposition to the market and design a strategic growth plan to help achieve their vision. After achieving steady organic growth in their first year, the M&P Advisory team set their eyes on how they could expand access to their unique value proposition into new regions and markets.  

The Approach

M&P Advisory needed a considered approach to growing their consultancy, starting with understanding their true purpose and mission for being in business. Evolve&Amplify guided them to determining who their core customer segment would be, and what actionable steps they needed to take to build capacity. Through a series of co-design workshops and interviews, we provided gap identification, software identification, cost-benefit analyses, and support on partnering with other organisations. Our data-driven approach provided an objective look on certain business functions and operations, creating new efficiencies within M&P Advisory.

M&P Advisory were also set up with three-monthly check-ins with the Evolve&Amplify team, which helped to keep them accountable and provided guidance around new ideas or directions that the consultancy wanted to explore.

The Outcome

Evolve&Amplify helped M&P Advisory to grow their confidence in their own purpose and decisions that they were making, and foster positive change within the consultancy. For example, the decision to redesign the website helped secure new customers, by targeting the right clients through proper messaging. This clear messaging and purpose articulation are now front and centre during marketing, sales and networking activities.

Our work helped ensure that that M&P’s engagement with government agencies to ensure grant programs are designed in a way that maximises impact and returns on investment for communities. The ongoing relationship allows M&P to respond to shifting market dynamics and keep their business evergreen.
